Gramineae, which also include bamboo, are plants that grow spontaneously all over the world. Highly prized for their characteristic shape,their feather-like, light, delicately-coloured flowering and their very decorative leaves, with colours ranging from yellow to silver-azure to red to all shades of green.They are rustic, undemanding plants, many of which grow easily in bright sun.
Bamboo, coming from the tropics and sub-tropics, is also cultivated in countries with a temperate climate. These plants grow very rapidly and can reach heights of several metres.
