Cactuses and succulent plants
These plants have developed an incredible ability to adapt to environmental conditions in which very little water is available.
They are characterised by a thick structure, determined by their ability to accumulate water inside mucilaginous cells. Other characteristics are the presence of thorns and a waxy covering.
