Shrubs and suffruticous plants

Shrubs are woody plants without a main trunk, but with branches forming more or less compact clusters starting from the base. Some examples are the lentisk, oleander and laurel. Others, like the cane apple and myrtle, typical of Sardinian vegetation, also produce fruit. All of them are fundamental elements in designing gardens in the Mediterranean environment.
