Perennial herbaceous plants

Perennial herbaceous plants are characterised by their ability to accumulate reserve nutrients in the soil, from which the buds develop that allow them to survive during adverse seasons. They make up 80 % of Mediterranean vegetation, and are usually known as bulbs or rhizomes. They can be easily transplanted and cultivated.
