Herbaceous aquatic plants
The family of herbaceous aquatic plants does not include many species, but it is interesting due to their symbolic meanings, present in many cultures, and to their decorative charm.
The waterlily, papyrus and lotus flower were already considered valuable plants in ancient times, and often characterised virgin forests consecrated to natural divinities.
Still much sought-after today due to their beauty, they do however require adeguate conditions for their growth and utilisation.
